So an update on my recent foodings, new and old. (:

Lollicup @ Irvine: I ordered the almond milk tea with boba and egg pudding just to compare it to Half & Half Tea Express and hands down, Half & Half is the better choice. Lollicup is still good but I’d prefer a strawberry passion fruit slush drink with boba from here instead.

The Habit @ Murrieta: They finally opened up a location in my area so I went to go try it. Ordered the teriyaki burger and sweet potato fries. Both were very good and I highly recommend this place at least once. It was delightful.

Freebirds @ Temecula: This place was actually pretty good. It’s pretty much like a Chipotle but the plus with this place is that they have different sizes for their burritos. I ordered a burrito bowl, which to me, didn’t have as much as Chipotle but it was still good. I was able to finish it in one sitting and that’s not usual. And P.S., must try the pot brownies! They really are addicting.

Jamba Juice @ Temecula: I ordered the Pomegranate Paradise and as usual, it was tasty and refreshing as ever. Definitely one of my faves from here.

Guppy Teahouse @ Irvine: I just ordered a bowl of mild popcorn chicken with sweet and sour sauce on the side. Wasn’t all that hungry so this was a good size and tasty as usual.

Niko Niko Sushi @ Rowland Heights: It was a spur of the moment decision and our first time here but we decided to have sushi and I picked the Tornado Roll. It has calamari steak on top with smelt roe. On the inside there’s salmon tempura, crab meat, and avocado. All topped off with green onions, eel sauce, and a house sauce. It was a little creamy but nonetheless, I liked it. It’s baked so it took a little longer to come out. But it was different and enjoyable. And the ginger at this place was really good too, for those of you who like it.

Traveller’s Cafe @ Temecula: First time here as well and ohh my it was delicious! It’s a nice little hole in the wall place with a cute setting but an eclectic menu. I ordered the pork bulgogi burger with onion rings and it was amazing. It was a little spicy because of the kimchi, which I liked, and the bread was a potato bun so it was nice and soft. The onion rings are nice and crispy and a good size. Another good dish (not pictured) was the country fair burger with fries which is a burger with bacon and cheese in a glazed donut bun and fries on the side. Super yummy and definitely worth going back again.

Just some recent places I’ve been to, new and old.

Half & Half Tea Express: My family and I love the boba there. The size and price are reasonable too! I usually get a milk tea or almond milk tea with honey boba and egg pudding because it’s good every single time. I’m never disappointed with my choice.

Corner Bakery Cafe: I finally tried this place after hearing so many good things about it and now I know why. I ordered the pesto cavatappi with a ceasar salad and it was delicious! The workers were really nice too so I’m definitely going back.

L&L’s: I always come here on Tuesdays since it $1 spam musubis. Always good and definitely worth it. *I really like the quality of the picture and it was taken from my phone. [x

Banana Bay (food not pictured): Tried this place for the first time as well and I loved it! Since it’s Thai food and it’s a new place for me, I ordered the pad see ew to compare it to the other ones that I’ve tried. This one has topped most of them. I also ordered a Thai tea boba, great Thai tea and decent tapioca. The part that I really enjoyed about eating here was the live band, minus the loud volume in a small space. They sang a lot of good 90’s R&B, which is my absolute fave.

The Hat: This was my first time trying the food here and it was bomb! Ordered the pastrami dip and it was pretty good but not so much for the price. Also ordered fries with cheese and pastrami and that was the best! Super good and worth the price for sure. Definitely sharing size because it’s hard to finish. Paired both with an orange bang and a pink lemon ole.

Our foodventure was another success! So we started the day by stopping by McDonalds for a little snackage for the ride up. We drove to Porto’s Cuban Bakery in Downey, and of course, came home with 5 boxes once again. 18 cheese rolls, 18 potato balls, 4 spinach feta cheese croissants, 2 mango empanadas, 2 guava strudels, 2 guava cheese strudels, 2 coconut glaze balls, 1 cream horn, 1 slice of mango cheesecake, and 2 slices of strawberry shortcake. Definitely needed to take home the goodies. After Downey we made our way to Buena Park for some Korean bbq at Cham Soot Gol. Beef brisket, bulgogi, egg pot, and a bunch of sides. Super noms! We ended up making a detour to Rowland Heights for Guppy’s and Half & Half because my family really wanted boba too. We stopped by Guppy’s first just for a mango and strawberry shaved ice and a take-home Hawaiian fried rice. Then went to Half & Half for iced milk drinks with pudding and boba. asdfghjkl; One of the best fatty days yet and many more to come! (:
